I’m an INFJ with fairly high levels of introversion.
I also have anxiety, particularly social anxiety. It is something I am having a lot of trouble dealing with but at least I’m more aware of it now.
I’m from North Carolina but I go to school in New Orleans. My bestest friend in the whole world/adoptive older sister lives in Canada, which kind of sucks. Not that there’s anything wrong with Canada; I quite like it. It’s just kind of far.
I drink a lot of tea and I would eat 24/7 if I could.
I am pro-choice and consider myself to be a feminist, although I do understand that the word “feminist” can be problematic. I am trying to educate myself, largely through lovely people on Tumblr, about racial and LGBTQ issues, among other human rights causes.
I think a lot about things and I read quite a bit. Sometimes I will blog quotations from things I am reading.
I love lolita and am also interested in gyaru, ulzzang, nu goth and steampunk. I also enjoy more mainstream fashion (I love most clothing from the 1950s) and I am a total sucker for well-dressed men, hence the regular menswear posts that show up on here.
My taste in lolita is pretty wide-ranging. I own a couple of handmade pieces, including a country JSK. I have a Rose Melody chandelier JSK in black and gold and Angelic Pretty’s Moon Night Theatre OP in pink.
All blogging comes to you from my Sony Vaio. Both of my laptops have been Vaios. They are tough cookies and I love them to bits. Sometimes I will liveblog from my phone but I don’t do that often because the Tumblr app kind of sucks.
I collect odd plushies and by odd I mean mostly Domos, although the collection includes all kinds of things. So far, they are a few miscellaneous Beanie Babies (including a pelican, which I felt was appropriate), a Hepatitis B, five Domos (one large bunny one), an armful of Nintendo plushies, a Skelanimal, a Mountie Moose, a platypus, an otter, a Labbit, a Gloomy Bear, a rather large Angry Bird, and three Sugarbunnies. My favorite of them all is a DeviantArt Fella.
Once I was given a tambourine by a hobo.
I’m allergic to metal necklaces of any kind, Lush’s 25:43 perfume, and some kind of weird Chinese herbal medicine that my mom loves.
My camera is some kind of Olympus; my old one was a well-loved Olympus Stylus 710 that literally went halfway around the globe with me. The new camera and I are learning to handle with each other, somewhat aided by the fact that this one can actually take decent macro photos.
I love music. My favorite bands include Breaking Benjamin, Thousand Foot Krutch, Marianas Trench, Skillet, David Usher, Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty, 12 Stones, The Goo Goo Dolls, Vertical Horizon, Blue October, Evans Blue, Parabelle, Red, Five for Fighting, and Three Days Grace.
